The Optical fingerprint sensor is a sensor that uses the optical principle to acquire fingerprint images. Its advantages and disadvantages are as follows:

Advantages:

Reliable, inexpensive, wear-resistant.

It has strong environmental adaptability, can resist pressure, wear, acid, alkali and stain corrosion, and is suitable for different temperatures and humidity.

Cons:

The fingerprint image recognition rate is low for dirty fingers and dry fingers, and the fingerprint image recognition rate is low for the elderly and children.

The Optical fingerprint sensor has poor adaptability to environmental factors such as temperature and is easy to be interfered by light, dust and so on
